How do India’s history and culture affect the world today?

India’s culture affects the world today. India has many of the world’s population, perhaps 20%. India’s culture was thus and so forth a downright majority of the world. And that majority is influencing everyone: people who go there, people who study about there, people simply watching their Bollywood films or commercials all get influenced, knowingly or not, into India’s religion and culture. 
And what about its history? First, it is pretty certain that history played parts in India’s culture and religion. Also, such also forces us to learn that violence is not always, and possibly always not, the solution to something.
